Mechanically, the car is in tip-top condition. No expense has been spared on making sure it is as reliable and economical as possible (top priority for a female driver!). The engine has just clicked over to 206,000km. Most of the mileage has been freeway driving, both before I bought it, and after. I have mostly used the car driving to and from my parents place (1000km return trip each visit along the F3), going to uni once or twice a week, and for the occaisional club cruise.

The car is running 8mm leads and a K&N filter, and I have replaced the distributor, water pump, fuel pump, alternator, power steering pump and all belts since I have owned it. The automatic transmission underwent a complete overhaul while in my possession. Several hundreds of dollars later, the car now sports an as-new transmission that produces silky-smooth changes. The exhaust system was replaced with a mild sports exhaust just before I bought it. This produces a nice low tone, but is lovely and quiet - you hear the engine, not the exhaust, when you put your foot down.

The engine bay is in show condition, with tidy wiring and polished components.
